Resumo: In this work the conformal mapping technique is applied in order to study the behave of the Field Enhancement Factor – FEF in different situations. This kind of survey is relevant for many technological applications, such as displays and different applications involving Nanoelectromechanical Systems (NEMS). In particular, Schottky Conjecture is studied and analytically proved at certain limits by means of the Schwarz-Christoffel transformation, even in the multi-stage scenario. Besides that, the Loewner equation is also introduced as an efficient tool to evaluate the FEF for quasi-unidimensional emitters, such as nanotubes and nanowires, and it is showed how this technique can be used to maximize the emission by changing the geometry of the system .
